Ha’a Hula is a global online hula community directed and supported by Kumu Hula Andrea Luchese, and hosted by LearnHulaOnline.com.
Inspired by the universal value of ALOHA, we strive to be our best selves through the practice of hula, chant, and Hawaiian cultural perspectives applied in everyday life.
Why ha'a? Ha'a means humble. It's also the word that was once used for hula. Our style is the ‘ai ha’a style. As we bend our knees, we literally get closer to the earth, a simple but profound gesture that gives gratitude for the land beneath our feet… for the profound blessing of our beautiful world.
We have courses for every one and every body, regardless of your age or your background. Hula is healing, hula is connection, hula is life. Start your journey today!enroll in our foundation series explore all classes
Ha'a Hula classes are brought to you from our various studio locations in North America, with mirrors to help support your learning. You’ll also connect with a community of other people who aspire to experience more aloha in everyday life through the path and practice of hula.
Our interactive, online hula classes are designed to give you a personalized experience with teachers from our virtual studios. You’ll receive supportive feedback to help you grow in your practice. Our goal is to give you the tools you need to find inspiration in everyday life.
Regardless of your background or path, our teachings and traditions offer support for applying principles of Hawaiian cultural perspectives in everyday life, so you can feel more grounded and uplifted at home, at work, and in all your relationships. Together, we elevate our world.
Ha'a Hula was founded by Andrea Luchese. As the school's kumu, she offers a HA'A HULA FOUNDATION series twice a year for new students to join the online hula 'ohana (family), as well as HA'A HULA LIFE, an ongoing class series for those who wish to make hula and living aloha part of their everyday experience.
Kumu Andrea studied under Kumu Hula Raylene Ha’alele’a Kawaiae'a from 2003 until her passing in 2012. She worked closely with Kumu Raylene on her journey of becoming a kumu hula and was later given 'uniki rites by Kumu Keala Ching.
Kumu Andrea's teaching style is supportive and inclusive and she welcomes all with a loving presence.
